Living in a house built with doubtful wealth

Question

Is it permissible for adult children to live in a house built with doubtful wealth, and what is the ruling on using anything in such a house?

Answer

It is not correct to eat from wealth that is known to be haram, nor should it be taken as inheritance; if neither the owner nor his heirs are known, it should be given away as sadaqa. If the wealth is mixed and the halal predominates, then taking it is correct.
