Serving a sick non-Muslim and praying for his recovery
Question
Question: What is the ruling on serving, helping and nursing sick non-Muslims? And what is the ruling on supplicating (du‘a) for their recovery after the prayer?
Answer
Doing so is a mark of lofty character (akhlaq), provided there is no worldly greed in it. Supplicating for recovery is also proper — that the Exalted Truth (Haqq Ta‘ala) may grant guidance.
