From whom should an amrad (beardless youth) keep his distance?

Question

Question: From which people should an amrad (beardless youth) keep his distance? For example, what is the ruling regarding a maternal uncle, a paternal uncle and the like? Will the ruling of prohibition or non-prohibition depend on particular persons and individuals, or will the ruling be the same for everyone? That is, is the ruling connected with whether desire arises or does not arise, or with the person of the amrad himself, in that he is desirable (mushtaha)?

Answer

From everyone from whom there is fear of fitna (temptation). The ruling is connected with the person of the amrad himself, and it is also connected with individuals and persons. Let individuals and persons constantly take account of themselves (muhasaba).
