Uncovering the ʿawra by farmers
Question
If farmers do not cover the ʿawra and keep it exposed for as long as they are doing farm work, and when they are admonished to cover the ʿawra they reply, “We are compelled to do so” — is it correct, according to the noble Sharia, for them to act and speak like this?
Answer
Acting and speaking like this is contrary to the Sharia. The command of the Sharia is for everyone; no one is exempt from it: [ar]يجوز أن ينظر الرجل إلى الرجل إلا إلى عورته، كذا في المحيط، وعليه الإجماع، كذا في الاختيار شرح المختار.
