Is there hijab after the nikah but before the bride’s send-off?

Question

Some people have spread the notion that after the nikah, before the bride is sent to her husband’s home, hijab is necessary from the one with whom the nikah has been contracted. What is the basis of this?

Answer

The man with whom a woman’s nikah has been contracted has become her husband, even if the bride has not yet been sent to her husband’s home; there is no hijab from him.
