The two-panel cap and the round cap

Question

Question: The long cap which most of the ‘ulama’ of Deoband wear — is it proper or not? Is there any kind of dislike (karaha) in this long cap or not? Are this long cap and the round cap equal in being sunna, or is there some difference?

Answer

The two-panel cap is also the dress of the righteous in our lands: some of the elders wear the round one, some the two-panel one; there is no censure on anyone.
