Elephant urine for treatment

Question

Question: A certain physician is a Muslim and regular in prayer, but he does not keep a beard. He has been treating a woman for five months; this woman has had no children for seventeen years and has undergone much treatment. The physician’s medicines have brought some slight benefit with regard to her menses.

Answer

The mere absence of children is not an illness for which permission could be given to drink elephant urine. For what has happened up to now, repent (tawba) and seek forgiveness (istighfar).
