Using earthworms and khakista as medicine
Question
Question: What is the ruling on the internal use of “the intestines of the earth” (amʿaʾ al-ard), that is, earthworms, and also of khakista (a small bloodless creature used as medicine; exact meaning unclear), that is, ʿarusak (?); and what is the ruling on praying after their external use?
Answer
Eating them is not permissible. After the external use of an animal that has no blood, the prayer is valid even without washing.
