Cooking food and the like with gas made from dung and the like

Question

Nowadays food is cooked with gas made from dung and the like, from which electricity and the like are also produced. What, then, is the ruling on cooking food with this gas and on using it?

Answer

Gas that is produced from filth may permissibly be used for lighting and for cooking food.
