Attending and eating at a function with musical instruments

Question

Question: If at some wedding or function there is an English band or games and shows, is it permissible to accept the invitation there, and is that food itself permissible or not?

Answer

One should not take part in such a wedding, and the invitation should not be accepted either; however, that food cannot be called haram, because that depends on whether the underlying wealth itself is haram.
