The School of Thought of the Ulama of Deoband and the Jamaat-e-Islami

Question

What is the ruling concerning the school of thought of the ulama of Deoband and others, and concerning finding faults in it and reviling them [the ulama], and concerning acting upon the way of the Jamaat-e-Islami? What is the ruling on harbouring resentment towards Muslims?

Answer

The school of thought of the ulama of Deoband is in exact accordance with the Book and the Sunna and the way of the great predecessors (aslaf); finding faults in it is wrong. Shortcomings may exist in individuals, and no one should be heedless of correcting his own shortcomings.
