Calling Yazid Amir al-Mu’minin and Caliph of the Muslims
Question
May Yazid be called Amir al-Mu’minin (Commander of the Faithful) and Caliph of the Muslims?
Answer
An amir, in the sense of a ruler, may be unjust and may be just; the station of a caliph, however, is a lofty one.
