The First Majlis: A Ḥanafī Imam with Shāfiʿī Followers, Images, and “Every Makrūh Is Ḥarām”
Answer
Ḥaḍrat's assembly was a surging sea of knowledge, from which scholars and students, common folk and elect alike drew equally. To give some notion of it, two recorded majālis are reproduced; some of his assemblies have been printed in the books about Africa and in Khidmāt-i Faqīh al-Ummah ("The Services of Faqīh al-Ummah"), and these two are taken from there.
