The students asked questions from various disciplines, curricular and extra-curricular — tafsīr, ḥadīth, fiqh, uṣūl at-tafsīr, uṣūl al-ḥadīth, uṣūl al-fiqh, history, sīra, naḥw, ṣarf and the rest — and about various books; Ḥaḍrat Wālā gave satisfying answers to all, and some long passages of books he recited from memory.
