To Whom in Paradise Will a Woman Who Had Several Husbands Belong?

Question

Believing men will receive houris in Paradise; what will believing women receive in Paradise? If they receive husbands, will they be those of this world or some others? And one who had several wives in this world — will he receive all of them, or one or two? And if a woman had five or six husbands in this world, to which husband will she belong? And will wives belong to their own husbands or to others?

Answer

Believing women will receive their husbands. If one of them did not marry in this world, she will be given a choice: her marriage (nikah) will be contracted with whichever man she prefers. If she prefers no one, Allah the Exalted will create a man from among the hur al-‘in (houris) and marry her to him.
