Will the Jinn Be Punished with Cold?

Question

Some people say that the punishment of fire does not reach the jinn, and therefore they are punished with cold. Is this correct?

Answer

They will suffer from the punishment of fire as well. Although they are created from fire — just as human beings are created from clay — yet a human being is hurt when struck with a brick of clay.
