(2) The argument of those who deny the life of the Prophet ﷺ is that after the passing of the Prophet ﷺ the first caliph, our master Hazrat Abu Bakr al-Siddiq ﵁, said in his first sermon: [ar]مَنْ كَانَ يَعْبُدُ مُحَمَّدًا فَإِنَّ مُحَمَّدًا قَدْ مَاتَ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ فَإِنَّ…

Answer

That death came upon the Prophet ﷺ is established by the Holy Qur’an and the noble hadith. Allah the Exalted says: [ar]إِنَّكَ مَيِّتٌ وَإِنَّهُم مَّيِّتُونَ[/ar] “Indeed, you will die, and indeed, they will die” (Surah al-Zumar, 39:30). Had death not come upon him, he ﷺ would not have been treated as the deceased is treated: the ritual washing (ghusl)
