What “the Life of the Prophet ﷺ” Means and Its Proofs

Question

What is the meaning of “the life of the Prophet ﷺ” (hayat al-nabi)? Is there proof of it from the Holy Qur’an or from the Prophetic hadith ﷺ, or not? Kindly write on this issue clearly and with proofs; and if any book has been written on this issue, kindly write its name together with the address where it may be purchased, so that this humble one may find this belief in it with a full explanation.

Answer

This issue is found in numerous works of Mawlana Muhammad Qasim Nanotawi; one book, “Ab-e Hayat” (“The Water of Life”), he wrote independently on this very subject. In “Jamal-e Qasimi” (“The Beauty of Qasim”) too, in one of his letters, he established it most clearly, by giving an example, with textual (naqli) and rational (‘aqli) proofs.
