The Meaning of the Word ‘Wasila’

Question

(1) What is meant by the word “wasila”? In the Tafsir of Ibn Kathir and other tafsirs it is stated that the wasila is a station in Paradise reserved for the Noble Prophet ﷺ, and for the attainment of that station the Prophet ﷺ instructed: when the mu’adhdhin finishes the adhan, then after reciting the du‘a ask Allah the Exalted for the wasila on my behalf. Answer

(1) Al-Wasila is a very great and lofty rank which Allah the Exalted has appointed for the Noble Prophet ﷺ; concerning it, encouragement to supplicate after the adhan has come in the hadith. This hadith is found in “Mishkat al-Masabih” and in other books of the Sihah. (2)
