Supplication through a Wasila
Question
The respected Haqqani said in his sermon that one should not supplicate through the wasila of the Noble Messenger ﷺ or through the wasila of any prophet, but should ask only of God. Is this correct or not?
Answer
To supplicate through the wasila of the Noble Prophet ﷺ or of the other noble prophets and noble awliya in this manner — “O Allah, for the sake of such-and-such a saint or such-and-such a prophet, fulfil our need” — is correct under the Sacred Law.
