The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between them are doubtful matters that many people do not know. Whoever guards against the doubtful matters protects his religion and his honor.”

Lactase — is it halal?

Description

Lactase (β-galactosidase, EC 3.2.1.23) is an enzyme that splits lactose into glucose and galactose. Japanese norms also permit animal organs (species not named).
