الْحَلَالُ بَيِّنٌ وَالْحَرَامُ بَيِّنٌ، وَبَيْنَهُمَا مُشَبَّهَاتٌ لَا يَعْلَمُهَا كَثِيرٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ، فَمَنِ اتَّقَى الْمُشَبَّهَاتِ اسْتَبْرَأَ لِدِينِهِ وَعِرْضِهِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between them are doubtful matters that many people do not know. Whoever guards against the doubtful matters protects his religion and his honor.”

Description

β-Apo-8'-carotenal (C30) is a carotenoid colour made by chemical synthesis (EFSA 2012): in patents — a Wittig reaction of a C25 dialdehyde with a C5 ring fragment; in the prior art also oxidative cleavage of β-carotene (E160a). Solvents: methanol, isopropanol, acetone (EFSA); in patents — ethanol, ethyl acetate (E1504), hexane, dichloromethane. Possible links: 10% WS/N beadlets — gelatin of unnamed species (E441)
