Giving zakat and fitra to a Shi'i
Question
Is it permissible to give zakat and fitra (sadaqat al-fitr) to the Rafidis (rawafid), who revile the noble Companions and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and whose beliefs are shown to be contrary to the Shari‘a? And if it has been given, what is the ruling concerning it?
Answer
It is not valid to give zakat and fitra to one whose beliefs are contrary to the categorical texts (nusus qat‘iyya); if it has been given, it should be given again.
