The school of thought of the scholars of Deoband and Jalalabad

Question

What difference is there between Deoband and Jalalabad in terms of their school of thought? Are the two one and the same, or separate — like the Barelvis and others?

Answer

There is no difference between the beliefs and school of thought of the scholars of Jalalabad and the scholars of Deoband. All of them are muqallids of Imam A‘zam Abu Hanifa ﵀; they respect one another, pray behind one another, and support one another’s madrasas; students from here go there to study, and students from there come here, in great numbers.
