Intending to Spend Money on One Mosque, Then Spending It on Another

Question

Someone intended to spend some money on a certain mosque, and then he intends to spend that money on another mosque. What is the ruling on this in the Shari‘a?

Answer

If the need is greater in the second mosque, he may spend it there. If the need is not greater in the second mosque, then it is better that he spend it on the first mosque itself, although spending it on the second is also permissible.
