Building a Mosque on an Owner’s Land with His Permission
Question
The widow of Abdul lives in the Katra neighbourhood. In the Katra neighbourhood there is a large house, one door, a small courtyard and a public passage, in which Raza Khan and Ahmad live; he has also committed a murder and has been convicted for it. All these people together want to have a mosque built in this very courtyard. This courtyard has been in my possession for about 20 years, and the land belongs to the respected Hakim Ayyub; he passed away about two years ago.
Answer
If the owner of this place said that a mosque should be built here, and there is proof of this, then it is permissible for the people to whom he said it to build a mosque there; neither you nor anyone else has the right to prevent it.
