Selling endowed property in order to acquire other property

Question

Question: May the mosque’s property, fields and the like be sold in order to create property of another kind, or not?

Answer

The sale of waqf property is not valid; it must be preserved. To create other property, make some other arrangement; do not sell the endowed fields and property.
