Exchanging the endowed land of a mosque

Question

Question: Giving two bighas (a local unit of land area) of land in exchange for one bigha of land endowed for a mosque, for one’s own convenience — is this permissible or not?

Answer

Taking non-endowed land for the mosque in exchange for the mosque’s endowed land is not valid, even if twice as much land is given to the mosque in exchange for it.
