Registration is not necessary for waqf
Question
Question: If a mosque was built on land endowed orally as waqf, without registration, is it permissible to pray in it or not?
Answer
Registration is not a condition for the validity of a waqf: an oral waqf is also valid and sufficient, and in such a case prayer in this mosque is valid. The Jumu‘a is also valid, provided that the conditions of Jumu‘a are present in that settlement.
