The waqif’s right to change the conditions of the waqf

Question

May the waqif (endower), after making the waqf, add conditions regarding the endowed property or not?

Answer

If the waqif, when making the waqf, reserved the option of adding to the conditions, he will have that option; otherwise not: [ar]وَفِي الْإِسْعَافِ: لَا يَجُوزُ لَهُ أَنْ يَفْعَلَ إِلَّا مَا شَرَطَ وَقْتَ الْعَقْدِ.
