Making up (qada) a sacrifice
Question
This year, because animals were expensive, the sacrifice could not be made on behalf of two persons: their sum was small and the young buffaloes (?) were expensive. What is the ruling regarding this sum?
Answer
The two persons on whose behalf the sacrifice could not be made should be informed: if they wish, they may have their money sent back and give it as sadaqa; and if they wish, they may give it to the madrasa, and the madrasa will then spend it under the heading of obligatory charities (sadaqat wajiba).
