Sacrifice of an animal reared on pig’s milk
Question
A man of the Bhangi caste (a caste of sweepers and latrine cleaners) reared a kid, feeding it pig’s milk. Now the kid has grown up and eats leaves. Zayd has bought it and wishes to sacrifice it. What is the ruling on this?
Answer
Its sacrifice is valid: the effect of the milk it drank has ended through eating leaves for such a long period (“‘Alamgiri”, vol. 6, p. 98).
