A widow's 'idda in her father's house

Question

Question: If, after the husband's death, there is no provision for the wife's food and maintenance, may the wife spend her 'idda in her father's house or not?

Answer

If there is no means of spending the 'idda at the husband's house, she should spend it in her father's house.
