What Is the Ruling If One Dozes Off While Sitting with Legs Folded Under?

Question

A person in a state of wudu is sitting with his legs folded under him, like the posture in prayer, [while] not being in prayer. Sleep came over him, and in this state one of his hands came to rest on the ground, but the sleep broke off immediately. Does the wudu remain, or is it gone? And what is the ruling in both cases [if the sleep broke off] a little while after the hand came to rest?

Answer

If he remained sitting in the same way [and] his seat did not lift off the ground, the wudu remains intact.
