Tayammum for Leaving the Mosque

Question

Zayd was sleeping in the mosque and had a nocturnal emission (ihtilam). Is it necessary for him to perform tayammum when going out, or not?

Answer

Tayammum is not necessary for leaving the mosque. However, if because of some impediment it is difficult to go out at that time, then tayammum is necessary.
