The ruling on water from a pond

Question

There is a pond containing foul-smelling water, and near this pond there is a hand pump. Because of the pond, a slight bad smell is noticeable in the water of this pump. Is that water pure or impure?

Answer

If the bad smell arose in the water because of the rainy season or the heat, and that same effect has come into the pump, then that water is not impure.
