Does the Ghawth Retain His Rank After Death?

Question

Does a wali (saint) and ghawth, after death, remain in the rank of ghawthiyya just as he was in this world?

Answer

The eminence and rank at which a person’s life came to an end are not taken away from him after death; however, the assigning of tasks to him, as happens in this world, does not continue after death.
