Trading with Pooled Money
Question
I put together the money sent by various people and my own money in one place and kept buying and selling with it. Is the profit that came from the items bought with such pooled money and then sold permissible? Is it correct, having used it this time out of ignorance, to resolve to be careful in future? Or should even the profit that has already come not be taken? Can any way be found to make it permissible?
Answer
When she spends another person’s money on her own affairs, if that person has forgiven her for it, then, in sha’ Allah, that is sufficient. Be careful in future.
