How to pray where day lasts six months and night six months

Question

In a country where night lasts six months and day lasts six months, will they be able to perform the daytime prayers and the night-time prayers during the day or not? And if they do perform them, how — according to clock hours or by some other reckoning? Kindly write a reasoned and clear answer. Also, what is the ruling for a place where the sun no sooner sets than it rises? And where are both of these countries located?

Answer

They will perform them according to clock hours. However, the researchers of the science of geography have stated explicitly that those places are uninhabited and that the life of any animal is difficult there; such places are called “latitude ninety” (‘ard tis‘in).
