The Recommended Times of the Five Daily Prayers

Question

What are the best and preferable times for the five daily prayers in congregation — especially now, in the summer season?

Answer

It is mustahabb to pray Fajr at isfar (when it has become light), because of the saying of [the Prophet] ﵊: [ar]لِقَوْلِهِ ﵊: «أَسْفِرُوا بِالْفَجْرِ فَإِنَّهُ أَعْظَمُ لِلْأَجْرِ» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ[/ar] “Pray Fajr when it is light, for that is greater in reward.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (Mishkat al-Masabih, vol. 1, p. 61).
