Will One Who Does Not Pray Enter Paradise?

Question

What ruling does the Shari‘a give regarding one who does not pray? Will one who does not pray enter Paradise?

Answer

If a person does not consider the prayer to be fard at all, he is not a mu’min (believer). If he does call [the prayer] fard but does not pray, and he has no fear of punishment either, nor even any intention of making up [the missed prayers] (qada’), then it is difficult for his iman to remain intact. May Allah, the Pure, protect [us]!
