Dhikr While Walking and Moving About

Question

Worship while rising, sitting and lying down is, in my view, correct. Can tasbih, tahmid and the like, or salawat, also be said while walking and moving about? And can salawat be recited while walking about without moving the tongue, or is it necessary to recite it moving the tongue?

Answer

Yes, Allah can be remembered with the tongue while walking and moving about as well. The noble hadith says: [ar]«لَا يَزَالُ لِسَانُكَ رَطْبًا مِنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ» الحديث[/ar] “Let your tongue remain moist with the remembrance of Allah” (hadith). This statement covers all times and states.
