Standing up after the final sitting

Question

A person in the final sitting, after reciting the tashahhud, forgetfully stood up, then, when he remembered, sat down. Now the question is: will this person have to recite the tashahhud again for sajda al-sahw or not? Also, after sajda al-sahw, is the salawat sufficient, or is it necessary to recite al-tahiyyat as well?

Answer

In the case asked about, the tashahhud is not needed before sajda al-sahw; rather, the very tashahhud after reciting which he stood up suffices. However, after sajda al-sahw the tashahhud is wajib, because on account of sajda al-sahw the tashahhud recited earlier has been annulled.
