Making someone imam without permission in case of need
Question
The time of the morning (subh) or ‘asr prayer is about to end and the imam is not present; even when he was called at his house he did not come (it is not known whether because of some need or out of laziness). What is the ruling on some educated person leading the prayer without [the imam’s] permission when the muqtadis put him forward?
Answer
This is correct (permissible).
