An imam drinking the semen of a practitioner of incantations
Question
The regular imam here is a hafiz; his character is good, he observes the Sacred Law, and the whole congregation is pleased with him. But once he committed such a mistake: the imam drank the semen of a practitioner of incantations — a God-fearing, abstinent [man] — (taking it in a cup), and said: “I received glad tidings (bishara) that by drinking his semen my heart’s desire would be attained.
Answer
Semen — whether of a God-fearing practitioner of incantations or of some fasiq and fajir (a flagrant sinner) — is impure (najis) and unlawful (haram); drinking it is drinking something impure and unlawful. Whoever receives such “glad tidings” that by drinking semen his desire will be fulfilled — it is not permissible for him to act upon it: such “glad tidings” are from Shaytan.
