The imamate of one who married a woman and her niece to one man
Question
The regular imam of a mosque is a “hafiz from the mushaf” (ناظرہ حافظ); he cannot recite the Qur’an and qira’a correctly. The Friday prayer too is led by him — the one who reads in the khutba. Every day he gives the adhan of the five prayers without wudu’. Some people object to him that giving the adhan without wudu’ is not right, but the respected imam insists that giving the adhan without wudu’ is permissible and [the adhan] is valid. And this imam has no acquaintance at all with the tenets (lit. “beliefs”)
Answer
You wrote that the regular imam of a mosque is a “hafiz from the mushaf”. I did not understand what this means: whom does one call a “hafiz from the mushaf”? What mistakes does he make in reciting the noble Qur’an? Write about this, because some mistakes are minor and the prayer does not become fasid (invalid)
