Delaying the prayer by 5 minutes for some benefit

Question

May the imam, for some benefit (maslaha), delay the fixed time of the fard prayer by five or six minutes? And how is it to make demands on the imam?

Answer

If, for some benefit or need, the imam occasionally delays [the prayer] by 5–6 minutes, the followers should not press him; and the imam, too, should keep to [the fixed time].
