Passing in Front of Minor Children in the Row
Question
If minor children are praying, is it permissible to pass in front of them or not? And if they know the pillars and conditions of prayer well, and are not a child lacking discernment (طفل لا يعقل) but a discerning child (طفل يعقل) and an adolescent near puberty (murahiq), what is the ruling?
Answer
If passing is needed in order to go and stand in the front rows, it is permitted; otherwise one should not pass even in front of them without need, for their prayer too is a prayer in the eyes of the Shari‘a, even if they are [only] seven years old.
