Praying in a dhoti
Question
Some people pray wearing a dhoti (a wrap-around loincloth traditionally worn by Hindu men), and after the prayer they lift a leg, [tuck] the dhoti into the waist and leave. Is this permissible?
Answer
The dhoti should be tied in such a way that the knees and the part above them (the thighs) are not exposed. If the prayer is performed with the knees or thighs remaining exposed, the prayer will not be valid.
