A Reply to One Who Claims the Hadith on Twenty Rak‘ahs of Tarawih Is Weak

Question: Regarding tarawih, the hadith on twenty rak‘ahs is weak, while the hadith on eight rak‘ahs is strong.

Answer

Let him be asked: you claim that the hadith on twenty rak‘ahs is weak (da‘if) and the hadith on eight rak‘ahs is strong (qawi). Kindly cite both hadiths in full, with their chain of transmission (isnad) and reference, directly from the original hadith book, and explain why such-and-such a hadith is strong and such-and-such a hadith is weak. On account of which narrator (rawi)
